Susan Newell has been working in obstetric anesthesia for 19 years. In her current position she develops guidelines and protocols for obstetric anesthesia departments. She has her doctorate focusing on coping mechanisms for mothers with substance use disorder. Her book, The Path 365, models coping mechanisms from her research for all people. She is proud to serve as faculty at the University of Cincinnati. She is president and co-founder of the Society of Obstetric Nurse Anesthesiology and Research (SONAR). She is the president of the Ohio State Association of Nurse Anesthetists and would like to remind everyone to donate to their PAC.
