Dr. Greenwood is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nurse Anesthesia at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She also serves as the Director for the Joanna Briggs Institute Center of Excellence at RFU and as the Associate Dean for Doctoral Research for the College of Nursing. With over 18 years of experience as a CRNA, she maintains and active clinical practice at several critical access hospitals in Colorado and surgery centers in Illinois.
In addition to clinical practice and teaching, Dr. Greenwood has consulted on Advanced Practice Provider issues for credentialing, privileging, scope of practice, quality metrics, and professional development. She obtained her BSN from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana; MS from DePaul University; and PhD from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her research interests include scope of practice among advanced practice providers, psychometric testing and simulation validation.
