Christopher R. Abell, CPA, MT specializes in accounting for small medical practices, providing tax planning and preparation services to professional services firms and individuals. Chris is well-respected for his patience and reliability, and cultivating professional/personal relationships with his clients is important to Chris. He takes the time to know the issues that could impact his clients thoroughly. Chrs is a frequent speaker at local, national, and university CRNA events. In addition, Chris guides his clients through filing multi-state tax returns and keeping meticulous books. He is empathetic to the needs of his clients and considers what is right for their business instead of simply looking at the numbers on their tax returns, which allows him to provide thoughtful advice and guidance to his clients.
Through the COVID-19 pandemic, Chris has been instrumental in helping clients obtain Paycheck Protection Program (P.P.P.) loans and Economic Injury Disaster Loans (E.I.D.L.). In some cases, much-needed funds were secured for clients for more than several million dollars. Because Chris guided clients on how to spend P.P.P. funds, it is anticipated that most loans will be forgiven, saving clients from economic disaster, employees from losing their jobs, and possibly even bankruptcy.
Chris recently earned his Master's in Taxation degree from Florida Atlantic University. Chris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (A.I.C.P.A.) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (P.I.C.P.A.). In addition, he gives back to the community by serving as the treasurer of the Board of Directors of Mom's House of Phoenixville, a local nonprofit that provides daycare services to single parents going to school full time. He also gives back by doing pro bono accounting work for low-income families.
