Rhea Temmermand is a CRNA and basic science researcher in neuropharmacology in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at Drexel University. She studies glutamate transporters on astrocytes and their role in pain modulation, and she is particularly interested in neuropathic pain, non-opioid drug discovery and opioid addiction. In addition to full-time research, Rhea is an Adjunct Professor at Drexel's Nurse Anesthesia program and is co-editor of a comprehensive science textbook for nurse anesthesiologists. She is the founder of CRNA Scientists LLC, an innovative anesthesia education company that customizes digital and physical products for individuals, organizations and universities.
