Dr. Elizabeth Bamgbose, PhD, CRNA is a Program Director and Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine, Program of Nurse Anesthesia. She has nearly 20+ years of experience in the field of nursing and health care at prestigious medical centers on the East and West coast, including her current role where she oversees the doctoral preparation of 72 nurse anesthetist students. As the lead advisor for the research division, she leads each resident through preparation and dissemination of their doctoral research projects. Dr. Bamgbose’s past research focused on maternal well-being in obstetrics; she now is invested in researching wellness of the student nurse anesthetist, global knowledge share in medical education, and leadership development among future nurse anesthesia educators. Dr. Bamgbose continues to practice in the clinical setting at part-time effort, allowing her to align current practice trends with the content she delivers didactically. With a passion for advancing the profession of nurse anesthesia through advocacy, Dr. Bamgbose feels great pride in representing the brilliant members of the California Association of Nurse Anesthetists via role on the Board of Directors. Beyond involvement in state professional advocacy, Elizabeth serves on the NBCRNA NCE sub-committee as well as the AANA Infection Control and Prevention Advisory Panel.
