Obstetric Anesthesia Clinical Practice Pearls: How to Avoid Adverse Outcomes related to Cesarean Delivery (1 Class A CE)

Approximately 32% of births occur via cesarean delivery in the United States. Evidence demonstrates cesarean delivery patients are at risk for complications including hemorrhage, sepsis and severe pain. This session will help anesthesia providers deliver care which prevents or minimizes potential post-cesarean complications.

Learning Objectives:

  • Demonstrate understanding of current evidence-based practice surrounding avoidance/minimization of adverse outcomes related to cesarean delivery including hemorrhage, sepsis, and pain.
