Decreasing the incidence of postoperative urinary retention (POUR) in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasties.

Postoperative urinary retention (POUR) occurs in 7% to 84% of surgical cases. POUR is the inability to void in the presence of a full bladder. There is no current ASA guideline for management.
